BREAST REDUCTION
Having breasts that are too large or too small affects the quality of life for many women. Excessive breast size causes:
- Neck and back pain,
- Deep marks in the shoulder area due to the pressure of the bra,
- Rashes under the chest, especially in old age,
- Rash and unpleasant odor between the breasts,
- many social and health problems, such as choosing clothes and finding a bra.
Breast reduction can be performed on all women who are over 18 years old and whose breast development is complete. However, there are some requirements for this procedure. The first is that the body weight is normal. It is normal for overweight people to have large breasts. If the patient is pregnant, it is recommended to stop pregnancy and breastfeeding, because breastfeeding can cause deformities again. With the technique chosen by the patient, the breast can be reduced as much as the patient desires. Depending on the amount of tissue to be removed during the reduction and the degree of nipple sagging, the scars produced during and after the procedure will vary, as the technique used in these cases will also vary. Depending on the technique used, inverted T-shaped or lollipop-shaped scars may occur.
