BICHEKTOMY
Bichectomy involves removing the fat pads from the corners of the face and cheeks if they are excessively pronounced. It is one of the most commonly used procedures to create the appearance of an inverted triangle, or the so-called V-picture. With bichectomy, there is no incision or scar on the face, and the procedure is performed through the mouth. It is generally recommended for people over 25 years of age.
Who can undergo bichectomy?
It can be performed on all men and women over the age of 18 who have a normal weight, but whose face looks overweight. This can usually be determined after an examination.
The procedure lasts about 30 minutes. A cooling compress is applied to the face during the first evening after the procedure. Hospitalization is not required. It takes 3 months for the face to take its final shape.
