PROTRUDING EAR SURGERY

PROTRUDING EAR SURGERY

Since the development of the ears is completed at the age of 6, protruding ear surgery can be performed from this age. Protruding ears can affect the learning success of school-age children. Discomfort in the circle of friends can cause lifelong trauma. For this reason, it is recommended that this surgery be performed before school age children begin to continue their education and social life in a healthy manner.

Protruding ear surgerz is performed under general anesthesia for children and under local anesthesia for adults. This procedure takes about 1 hour and does not require hospitalization. The patient is advised to wear a bandage for 3-4 weeks after the surgery.
